This is the first of what will likely be many entries by Mary Chapin Carpenter. I listen to her songs more than any others. This song came out in 1989. I was 8, and likely had no real idea what this song was about. But I always love it. Music videos were a new thing, and I taped the Crook & Chase countdown show on CMT so that I could watch this one over and over. I’ve bought every piece of music MCC has put out since then, and I love her no less than I did in 1989.

One of the best MCC songs, love this one, I remember very well when you would tape Crook and Chase just to see MCC, we would watch her over and over, simply one of the best!
