Kim Richey is one of the most talented songwriters you’ve never heard of. She’s written hits for Trisha Yearwood, among others. I saw her open for Trisha years ago, and she played this song about the trap of nostalgia. The words were so spot-on, I went out and bought the CD the next day. I’ve been a fan ever since.
This is a really good song, I love the message, when a song has a good message, it makes you sit and really listen to it. This song did that for me. I bet a lot of people can relate to this song, because they have those memories of “The Way It Never Was”
