Welcome to Duets Week on the Ultimate Playlist. Duets are tough to pull off. Many that seem great on paper fail miserably in execution. Finding a good duet is a sort of alchemy–you need the right song and the right singers. When the chemistry is right, it’s magic.
This week I’ll share seven of my favorites.
When it comes Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man, I don’t listen to it that often, but sometimes I just start singing it for no reason. It gets in your head and stays there for years, just waiting for a moment to bust out.

This is a great duet from Country Music’s golden age, just pure perfection, in my opinion. You can never go wrong with Loretta Lynn or Conway Twitty, put them together and you are right….MAGIC!
