One of Tim McGraw’s more provocative tunes. I’m still surprised this was played on country radio. If there was any controversy, I don’t remember it, and it certainly didn’t hurt his career.
I love Tim McGraw and I loved the song, but when I hear it, I can’t help imagining the response if someone else (say the Dixie Chicks) had put a song about a remorseless abortion out on country radio.
Everything Tim McGraw sings is great, this song is no exception. I remember when this song came out there was a lot of controversy about it, which in my opinion was senseless, this is just a good song about a topic that a lot of people went thru when they were young, simple as that.
