This song is the story of my life “I was country when country wasn’t cool”! As you know I have loved “real” country music all my life, and Barbara Mandrell is my all time favorite country singer. This song is one of my favorites of all time. Great song, love the line “I was puttin peanuts in my coke”…have always wanted to try that, but I will have to put the peanuts in my pepsi, as you know I do not do coke!!! LOL. This song is great with Barbara and then you add “The Possum”, George Jones, put both of them together and you get pure magic, a song that will endure thru the generations. GREAT selection Egg!….And thank you for throwing me a bone with this, I gobbled it up!!!
