I’m thrilled to return to the Plum Borough Community Library to speak once again on the Golden Age of Hollywood. I will present “Bogart and Bacall … the Lives and Films of Hollywood’s Greatest Romance” at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 26. The talk is free but registration is required. Click here to register. I had such wonderful support the first time around, and I hope to see you all there!
Yesterday the Plum Advance Leader featured the talk and my writing. I’ll hope you’ll read my interview with Harry Funk, where we had a lively discussion about Bogart & Bacall, the appeal of old films, and 3 recommendations to get you started if you’re a newbie looking to discover classic films.
You can read the full article here.
I came for the golden age of Hollywood article, but I left with question about pelvic health, which is a great name for an indie band. Multiple adverts here for the Suburban Health Centre! You seem to keep getting the big bookings; is it true that these local gigs are your secret warm-up for taking over from Beanie Feldstein in the Broadway production of Funny Girl?
In Pittsburgh we’re famous for our hospitals! (possibly as a result of our previous fame as smog capital of the world.). I think of myself more as an Edna Ferber type, but I’d take a comparison to Fanny Brice any day!
I want that Jimmy Stewart lamp! 😉
It’s an original, isn’t it? I got it from the gift shop in the Jimmy Stewart Museum in Indiana, Pennsylvania.
