Another Royal Wedding

The topic of today’s post should come as no surprise to anyone.

Come on. This is me you’re talking to.  The girl who took the day off work to watch William and Kate’s wedding.  The girl who filed their wedding photo on the cover of Time Magazine among her most prized possessions.

And anyway…can’t we all use some good, frivolous, fun news?

So let’s talk Harry and Meghan, shall we?

Britain’s most eligible ginger is finally off the market. In case you’ve been living under a rock lately, Prince Harry and Megan Markle announced their engagement.

Meghan Markle, a thirty-six old American.

I repeat…a thirty-six year old American.

Just like yours truly.

Had I only known I was eligible for the job!

(I mean, she is an actress with movie star good looks, but these are minor differences, wouldn’t you agree?)

But back to Harry and Ms. Markle. On the morning of their engagement, I think I received more text messages than if I had announced my own engagement.  This may be a sign of an unhealthy obsession with the royals, but that’s another topic for another day.

The prospect of another royal wedding is thrilling. Two beautiful young people joining together before the world.  It’s a real-life Hallmark movie.

But will the Queen approve? That’s the question on everyone’s mind.

But really, how could she not? The young royals—William, Kate, Harry, and now Meghan—are the epitome of class and discretion.  If someone tried to make their lives into reality tv, it would be the most boring show ever.

In short, they are everything a Queen Elizabeth II-style royal should be.

I wish Harry and Meghan all the happiness in the world. And I’m already setting aside a vacation day for May 2018….
