I’ve been known to lament the lack of female country singers. Once you get past Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood, and Little Big Town, the well gets dry fast.
But that’s only country radio. With a little digging, I’ve found a whole treasure trove of female singers making great music today. Sunny Sweeney is making great modern Texas honky tonk music, and she’s only one Google search away.
Who needs the radio anyway?
I really like this song, pretty clever, I think we all have experienced someone giving us a “back-handed compliment”. And you wonder “do they ever think before they speak”? How true this song is. Sunny Sweeney has a good voice, I would like to hear more by her.
I like her sound, had to listen to more songs. I like her.
