I’m thrilled to announce that I’ll be back on the lecture circuit this spring.
First up, I’ll be covering someone a little more contemporary – Nicole Kidman, who I will do my best to convince you has more in common with the classic Hollywood actresses of the 1940s than you might think. Join me on March 12, right before Oscar weekend, to celebrate the career of one of the greats. Please note that I will only be giving this talk at the Plum Library.
Next up in April I return to the Penn Hill Library to discuss the superb films and complicated legacy of Alfred Hitchcock, the master of suspense.
And we’ll round out the series at Penn Hills Library in June when I cover one of–perhaps the most–tumultuous romances in Hollywood history, that of Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton.
Mark your calendars and I hope to see you there!
***Please note the data for the Elizabeth Taylor – Richard Burton talk was rescheduled. This post now includes the correct date in June
Ooh hello! You’re back! Well at least advertising your wares 😁 hope your talks are a resounding success!
Good to see you Fraggle!
Yes, sadly I have neglected the blog but have had lots of exciting things happening. I moved last year and also the last two summers I taught an adult education class on the history of Hollywood. So I’ve been busy and watching lots of great films 👍❤️
Thanks for commenting!
Glad you’re busy, and fingers xt no more snakes in the garage ! 😁
Yes! At the moment I am in a lovely apartment up on the second floor with not a snake in sight!
I’ve been sleeping like a baby!
👍 😁
